Friends of the Mexican Renaissance

On May 24, we opened Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and Mexican Modernism from the Jacques and Natasha Gelman Collection, organized by the Vergel Foundation and MondoMostre. This major exhibition presents iconic works by Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and their contemporaries, including seven of Kahlo’s painted self-portraits in which she vividly expresses her identity and emotions. The Gelman Collection is one of the most significant private holdings of twentieth-century Mexican art.
